Message from Elene Cafasso, New Networlding Ambassador for Chicago

Do you want to develop and leverage your network more effectively to transform your business or organization? Do you want to greatly enhance your career management skills and support others too? Do you want to connect more effectively with others who share your values and interests? Then I can help.

My name is Elene Cafasso.  I’m a professionally trained and certified Executive Coach, and one of the Networlding Ambassadors for Chicago.  I help leaders focus on what really matters, as they define it, while growing themselves, their team and their bottom line.  By definition, what really matters to people are those things they value.  Networlding’s values-based approach is a perfect fit!

My background has prepared me well for this work.  I hold an MBA in Marketing and Finance from Chicago Booth, where I currently serve as the Vice President of Leadership & Professional Development for the University of Chicago Women’s Business Group.  I also spent 14 years in the Corporate world, holding positions at the Executive level in both the banking and telecommunications industries.

For years, I’ve been an unofficial Networlding Ambassador.  I’ve recommended the book to my clients, highlighted it on my firm’s Amazon Store and utilized the model in every presentation I’ve ever given on networking.  My business has been built utilizing the relationship-centered techniques in the book to form mutually beneficial partnerships and referral relationships.

I want to help YOU use this compelling networking tool which will empower you to achieve your goals in your career, business and life. I will also support you in the development of related skills such as personal branding and powerful communication. My aim is to help you build networks that sustainably transform businesses, organizations and personal and professional learning and growth.

Forthcoming Networlding events will be advertised here or contact me to discuss options for facilitating an event for your business, organization or other group:

Still Looking for Others Interested in Becoming Ambassadors

Ever since Jocelyn and I started Networlding ten years ago we have shared the story of our start where we became #10 on Amazon, in Chicago, and held that spot for an entire year. What a lot of people don't know though is how we accomplished that success and what it could mean for you and your success, but we'll tell you so you can use the idea.

We were members of the Chicagoland Chamber. They provided us with the space we needed to host full-day bootcamps where people could go through the seven steps of Networlding. We offered those interested from the chamber and from Fast Company an option: either they could pay $350 for the full-day event and we would include the Networlding book and guidebook or they could buy the books on Amazon and pay a discounted fee. The majority of people bought the books and within a year more than 1000 professionals and business owners came through the bootcamps.

We also found that many stayed connected to their circle partners and are still good friends, colleagues and even business partners. Now we are back in full swing again and looking for people to start circles again through one of our certified facilitators or through ambassadors. If you are interested in becoming a Networlding Ambassador here are the steps:

1. G
rab a copy of the Networlding NanoBook and Networlding Guidebook  and start your own Networlding Circle to grow better business faster! If you need help finding members, we'll be happy to help you. Just email Melissa (melissa @ networlding.com).

2. Set up a group date. I will help you get started.and promote it with you. Use tools like LinkedIn, MeetUp, even Twitter to gather a group. Read the Nano book and then start the Networlding Guidebook with your group.

Go through the seven steps of Networlding that includes: creating a primary circle that helps you accelerate goal achievement, practicing the Networlding Support Exchange (called "The Great Exchange"), co-creating opportunities with the right partners and leveraging your network online through sites like LinkedIn.

3. Get your group focused on a "make-a-difference" project in your local community. It takes seven weeks to go through the seven steps of Networlding (if you are on the fast track, which we hope you are) so why not choose a great project to help a non-profit, school or a group of people who need help in your community? Networlding is all about "doing well by doing good."

4. Set up a time to bring me into your circle by phone. I will share my twenty-plus years of wisdom helping people achieve transformational opportunities through Networlding.

5. Once you go through a circle experience have participants start their own circles but continue to reconnect with your starter circle to share wisdom and great connections.

6. Finally, email me (melissa@networlding.com) with your success stories. I would love to showcase you and your success!

The Networlding Guidebook is designed as a companion to Networlding. While the first book provided an introduction to the overall concepts and practices of Networlding the guidebook helps you put Networlding into action quickly. It has checklists, questions and exercises to help you assess where you are in terms of network success and the goals you hope to achieve through the implementation of Networlding, as well as monthly action plans to roll out the process, The Networlding Guidebook is a fun, practical and easy-to-understand resource that helps you transform relationships into mutually beneficial opportunities.

The Nano Networlders Book. It Only Takes a Second to Change Your Life Forever. Do you wish to surround yourself with people of like-minded values but struggle to find them? Are you experiencing a variety of 'takers' in your life, and spending all your energies defending yourself or your department or your company? The Nanosecond Networlders show us that there are compelling new solutions to some of the most vexing cross-cultural, career, and organizational business issues we face today.

These solutions recognize that every decision is made in a split-second, and that although we often deliberate for months, the moment of commitment is the moment that counts. Making that commitment in a way that is firmly rooted in recognized individual core values is the key. No one can remove those barriers alone. This book shows us how to participate in an 'exchange' of ideas, values, and solutions to break through to our true potential-by leveraging the limitless possibilities inherent in every conversation we have.

In today’s fast-changing interconnected world, the tools of this day allow us to reach across the globe in an instant. While technology provides the potential to make powerful new connections, leveraging these connections requires a dramatic shift in our personal and professional strategies for getting ahead. And, it necessitates the need to form and maintain relationships in radically different ways.

Networlding believes in the power of relationships to achieve great things – things that might be out of reach if attempted individually. It recognizes that relationships are sometimes formed in unusual ways and places, and that there are more productive relationships waiting to be formed than anyone has time for. To help individuals and organizations to capitalize on the Networlding approach, Networlding Circles are offered across thecountry and now, around the world. Get started today. Learn Networlding. Form a support circle and watch your life transform!

Networlding Circles extend beyond traditional networking. They provide an entire support system consisting of:

  • People who understand your goals, share your values, and provide support.
  • Processes that help enable you to develop life changing relationships and opportunities.
  • Programs to help you develop the understanding and skills you need to achieve excellence at home, at work, and in the communities you serve.
  • Places to collaborate with your connections and evolve opportunities.

The Big Picture:

Start a circle of 10 but each one of the ten should be leaders in their own right, in agreement before they start as a member of Circle 1, to start a Power-of-Ten Circle of their own once they are finished with the first five steps of the seven steps of Networlding.

This way when the first circle is completed the next wave of circles has 100 people involved! Circle 1 still should meet once a month to help encourage Wave 3 of circles forming which will realize 1000 participants. If a group gets to Wave 6 it will have impacted 1 million people!

Contact us today to learn how to join a Networlding Circle, or to discuss starting a private and professionally facilitated Networlding Circle within your organization or personal network.
